We can fully understand cell phone companies that look for ongoing revenue streams; if the money’s out there, they should try to grab some. But we have a personal problem with their ongoing efforts to sell customized ringtones to all those dweebs who want them; the problem is, once said dweebs buy them, they follow us onto our evening train and then get call after call after call, all while they’re sleeping! Ack! Verizon Wireless tells us today that they’ve made “spooktacular” Halloween tones available, including the Twilight Zone theme, “Werewolves of London,” the Bewitched theme, The Rocky Horror Show’s “Time Warp” and, (Heaven spare us) “Thriller.” Check out their offerings at VerizonWireless.com. We may have to start walking home from work.
