Toilet seats, specifically. Up or down? Open or closed? Who cares, really? Well, the folks at BottomsUp.biz, do. They invented an automatic toilet seat raiser and lowerer (”Lowerer”? Man, TGIF!) so your delicate mitts don’t have to touch a toilet seat, especially in public loos. Their invention, with a fully explanatory video at their Web site, raises and lowers the seat (continually, if you can believe the video) depending on where you want it. According to the narrator (with a delightful British accent, we might add) orders are being taken now. We suspect they’re only building as many as they sell, so they don’t get stuck with extras. It’s not exactly something you can sell at a street fair, ya know? (“Please, have a seat, try it out!” "Ummm, no thanks.”)
