Anytime we think of “ice fishing” (Which, to be honest, is almost NEVER), we just assumed the holes were always in the ice. Shows you what we know. They’re made by a power tool called an ice auger, which is basically a gas-powered corkscrew about five feet high. Who knew? And getting said auger from spot to spot to make holes in the ice is apparently a hassle. So the good people at New Hampshire’s AugerBuddy.com are marketing their eponymous product. It’s an upright sled-like product that you use to easily transport your auger, hence the name. But we especially like their Web site, and the video showing how well the thing works. The sheer beauty of the piece is in its simplicity. And we will admit we kept waiting for the guy in the video to fall through the ice. No such luck…
