In what has got to be one of the more natural fits in marketing to come along in a while, toys and leisure products distributor Jakks Pacific announced today that it will roll out a new line of branded pet products from rapper and actor Snoop Dogg. The items will be available on Amazon.com on Nov. 21, the same day Snoop’s new CD, Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, is released. Talking about the coming plush toys with his name on them , Snoop himself was quoted as saying: "Go get some quick, dogg-gone-it! 'Cuz Snoop Dogg said so. Bow Wow!" A senior vp of marketing at Jakks clarified Mr. Doggs’ comments thusly: "We are very pleased to team up with Amazon.com to launch a pre-order for our JPI Pets' Snoop Dogg line of dog toys and apparel, to coincide with the excitement surrounding his new CD.” Well said, both of you.
