Quick! What was Elvis Presley’s last recorded song? (SFX: “Jeopardy” theme song) Time’s up! According to songwriter Paul Terry King, it was a little-known ditty called "Just Like Rollin' Up Hill," and King is now auctioning off his copyrighted interest in the song on eBay. The auction gets underway on Jan. 19, 2007 at 5 p.m. (PST); opening bid is $10,000. In a blast of hyperbole, King notes in a release, “Devoted fans, music enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and/or entertainers can now bid and get copyright and performance rights to one of the most prized possessions of the King himself, his music.” Full details are at a special Web site, Elvis Song.info. We think we’ll wait for the radio version.
