A St. Petersburg, Fla., company has created an opportunity where others see inconvenience. SecurityPoint Media has begun marketing airline security trays (the kind you put your pocket stuff in before going through an airport’s security scanner) with ads emblazoned on the bottom of the tray. “The SecureTray System represents unavoidable media, delivering guaranteed impressions with unparalleled reach and frequency,” the company said in a release. That may be so, although so far, only Rolodex has signed on as a sponsor. And if one passenger’s feedback is any indication, the company may have a tough road ahead. “People are rushed and upset and just trying to get through security,” the woman told the AP. “Who's paying attention?” Ouch.
