The publishing giant known as Scholastic is pulling out all the stops for the seventh Harry Potter book, set for official release on July 21. The company has announced it will print an initial run of 12 million copies in the U.S., breaking the record of 10.8 million for No. 6, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The new tome, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, already has a pre-emptive Web site set up at Scholastic.com/HarryPotter, teasing readers about what’s to come and building even more anticipation and frenzy. We were too busy to check it out, though. We were instead trying to figure out how much Rowling will make from it all. Then we had to lie down with a headache.
