KINDA LIKE 'MR. T.,' BUT WITH A CAPE?

It’s gotta be an uphill battle if you’re trying to expand the market for tea, especially if you’re selling to young kids. Still, we have to give credit to the folks at the Just Different Specialty Tea Co., who remind us that their mascot, “Captain Teao,” will be appearing at the 2007 Coffee and Tea Festival in New York this month, and at the World Tea Expo in Atlanta in June. “Captain Teao is a fun-loving fictional character, a Super Hero, who's a healthy role model for kids, an advocate for healthy choices. Captain Teao is the anti-Ronald McDonald in that Captain Teao encourages kids to eat their fruits and vegetables,” a company rep said in a statement. Something tells us that Captain Teao was also the kid back in school who reminded the teacher on Friday afternoon that she forgot to assign the homework. See for yourself at Tea for Kids.com.

WRONG!!!!!

I NEVER reminded the teacher (or in my case nuns) to give us homework on the weekend. As stated, Captain Teao is all about fun....and even I, Captain Teao, didn't consider homework fun!

Besides, I was too busy outside playing, running, jumping and fighting the bad guys to want to sit at the kitchen table doing homework. How many of you remember doing your homework at the kitchen table?

Best,

Captain Teao
