Smart marketers know that in order to be successful, they have to jump on an opportunity when it presents itself. We assume that’s behind the push we got today from a online site called Out of the Doghouse.com. They sell “an extensive line of apology and appreciation products,” and believe their goods might be perfect for recent newsmakers, radio talk-host Don Imus and Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong. “These individuals have found themselves tightly teathered [sic] to the public's doghouse and need the help of experts, such as Out of the Doghouse, in the nature of apologies,” OOTD said in a release. Yeah, that’s what Imus should do; send some cutesy cards to Al Sharpton and the Rutgers Women’s basketball team. Good plan.
