A Massachusetts company called Muzzy Lane says it’s partnering with “noted author, Harvard historian and political commentator Niall Ferguson to market a new series of video games addressing modern global conflicts.” Ferguson, apparently quite the expert on such issues, seems rather jazzed about it. “"I'm getting involved with Muzzy Lane because it's a chance for me to bring my life's work—not just the study of history but also the questioning of it—to a much broader audience," he said in a release. The planned games “will allow players to compete as nations facing 21st Century challenges, from international terrorism to borderless economies.” Uhh, OK. We’re hopeful for his success, but we have our doubts. With two hard-core gamers in our house, we’re not too sure they’d welcome such a challenge; sounds more like homework to us.
