Vermont is known for its lovely mountains, excellent skiing and pancake syrup. Now, in an attempt to expand the brand into other areas, Green Mountain Distillers has launched Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur, which is pretty much what you’d expect: a liqueur made out of maple syrup. But they seem to have some weird drinking habits up there in the Green Mountain State. To wit: “Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur makes a unique component for many classic cocktails, including Old Fashions (sic), Manhattans and Martinis, (MARTINIS? Really??) as well as being an excellent addition to apple cider and coffee drinks. The Maple Liqueur will bring that Vermont feel to any beverage.” Seems those long winters might be taking a toll on folks. When you start spiking your morning coffee, it may be time to book those tickets to West Palm.
