Not really sure what the whole point is of the press release from Abazias.com, an online jeweler trying to promote itself. The company made up a special video, available Here, that demonstrates how a diamond engagement ring will be chopped to bits if you place it in a blender. (Yes, really.) Narrated and demonstrated by "Missy," a blonde who is apparently an engineer of some sort because she wears a long white lab coat (and ignore her eyes as she reads the copy), the tape shows her dropping an engagement ring into a "popular blender" (they won’t name it; it’s a Blendtec) and then hitting the "crushed ice" setting. (Because a diamond is sometimes referred to as "Ice"; Get it? Sheesh.) As predicted, the bauble is reduced to particles. Moral? Don’t put your diamond ring in a blender. We guess.
