As any runner will tell you, keeping hydrated during a jaunt is half the battle. So a company called HydroSport-USA is marketing what it thinks is a swell idea. They’re called “Swiggies,” wrist-mounted water bottles that you fill and wear while running. In their press materials, they note: “It eliminates the need to carry water bottles, which can be cumbersome to carry, and break your stride when you have to stop to take a drink.” Maybe so, but a still photo on their site shows a runner (below) with the Swiggie to her mouth, head back, and eyes NOT on the road. Runners will also tell you, “Watch where you’re going.”
