We got an interesting pitch from a company called XP Vehicles, which purportedly is building a car made out of an inflatable housing, that they say will be the safest vehicle on the road. Add in a projected, low $5,000 price tag and you have our interest. So we went to their site at XP Car Team.com, and found the following: “We are discussing all orders under NDA only. It is preferred that fleet and distributor opportunities meet at our San Francisco Center to discuss the program. We are not selling individual vehicles currently. Due to competitive market reasons, all vehicle data is currently confidential until the official open launch, which will be announced once certification papers are in hand from various regulatory agencies. We are not releasing sales literature at this time.” Well, thanks for that; very helpful. Next!
