Parents with those “My kid’s and Honor Student at…” bumper stickers annoy us, and now we have something else to fume about. It’s a book whose title says it all: Raising a Superstar: Simple Strategies to Bring Out the Brilliance in Every Child. It’s by a woman who brags that her kid graduated Georgetown (Magna Cum Laude) now goes to Georgetown Law, speaks five languages, volunteers, runs marathons, and BlahBlahBlah. That’s all very nice, but we’ll wait for the sure-to-come counterpoint book: How To Raise a Regular Kid That Everyone Likes. Now THAT’S a book we’d buy.
