Theme-restaurant chain Hooters (Whadda ya mean, what “theme”?) has announced it will open its newest location in … Israel? Yes, the Atlanta-based chain has signed a franchise agreement to open the first outlet in the Mideast nation, with more to follow. And the lucky franchisee issued a statement about his venture that could be probably be interpreted in more ways than one: “I am positive that the Israeli's quest for great food and atmosphere will end at Hooters.” (Visual: Rubbing chin, looking puzzled; “Hmmm.”) But we especially like the headline that topped off the press release. It simply said, “Shalom Hooters.” Man, said in the wrong context, that could earn you a punch in the eye.
